Expressive Writing as an Intervention for Siblings of an Individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Product Description:
This study evaluated whether the use of expressive writing can change behavior and mood in an individual who has a sibling with Autism. Subjects were three typically developing individuals' ages 11-17 years, who have a sibling with Autism or Typical Development. Participation was 8 weeks and all subjects completed the study. There were other mood comparisons that approached significance. This study had a very small sample size. Therefore, it is difficult to product any significant results or draw any generalizable conclusions for or against expressive writing as a tool in this area.
