S.1a Health Access for Oregonians with Disabilities
Product Description:
The Oregon Office on Disability and Health (OODH) seeks to improve health and independence of Oregonians with disabilities. People with disabilities (PWD) experience more health disparities and barriers to accessing health care than their peers without disabilities, i.e., less likely to have received a mammogram, or regular dental exam. People with disabilities living in Oregon need to have access to regular preventative health care services within their communities. Over the last 5 years, OODH has worked on several projects aimed at promoting and increasing access to health care for PWD.
