recorded presentation from the 2013 Border Conference on Disability: This presentation will include an introduction and information about assistive technology including the legal definition. Information about services provided by Arizona Technology Access Program will be explained. In addition, information regarding different types of assistive technology, including adaptations will be discussed that assist people to live in the community. A variety of products will be introduced and demonstrated. Objectives: *Understand the definition of assistive technology and its uses *Gain knowledge on how to obtain assistive technology and the services of AzTAP *Understand how the use of assistive technology can increase the ability of people with disabilities to live more independently
