Product Description:

People with disabilities have the desire and right to make their own decisions, pursue their dreams, express their personal preferences, and live the lives they choose. Unfortunately this is often not the reality. Many organizations serve people with disabilities with a one-size fits all approach, leaning towards a medical/deficit model, and hesitate to adopt new approaches. Working with the Texas UCEDD IPCP and American Habilitation Services, a provider agency in Texas, a person centered policy and procedure framework was developed. This framework can be used as a template for organizations to become person centered.
