Dr. Smalley is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who provides training and support to promote positive behavioral supports as a statewide agenda. She demonstrates a long history of advocacy and support for human rights. Her national and local presentations promote the use of person-centered, self-determined, positive behavioral support plans that enhance skill development and quality of life. This DVD is a summary of her April 2003 presentation in Phoenix, Arizona. This practical session puts ecological assessments and functional behavior assessment into general practice, addresses difficult issues such as sexuality and scrapes with the law, and forces the issues of self-determination and choice as they apply to the individuals who challenge the system most.
