The ECS Teen and Young Parent Program's goal is to ensure that every family with limited resources receives support to promote healthy lifestyles and to improve their and their child's eduational attainment. The initiative links these participants to existing agencies. Five agencies recruited 1790 teen and young adult participants since services began in 2010. This report for the first time includes parents who were not teen parents, as an additional agency's data were included in 2012-2013 whose focus is on young adults over 21. The participants across these five programs were mostely female and the average was 18 years of age, although there was a broad range in age from 11 to 39 years. The 533 children served were, on average four months of age, with 72% being under the age of one year. Home visitation and case management were the primary services provided with an emphasis on family health, life skills and coordination.
