The first in the Health Policy Institute of Ohios three-part analysis of health and disability. In this installment, HPIO presents the current landscape of health coverage, programs and services for people with disabilities, including an overview of the state entities that provide, coordinate and/or fund public services. We will also explore demographics, eligibility criteria and scope issues. The second brief will look at the challenges for people with disabilities in achieving optimal health and the third brief will examine current state and federal policies. The Ohio Disability and Health Program contributed to the content of this brief as external stakeholders.
