Product Description:

Synaptic and dendritic development is crucial for developing normal neural network and cognitive function. Synapse aberrations have been described in different neural developmental disorders including intellectual disability and autism. δ-catenin is a component of cadherin-catenin complex and it is predominately expressed in the brain. δ-catenin has already been shown involved in synaptic and dendritic development. Our data suggests that δ-catenin is translational regulated during hippocampal neuron development. We are currently exploring its relevance to synaptic structure and function.
