Product Description:

Federal law ensures that children with disabilities are entitled to a free and appropriate public education. The pediatric health care provider has an important role working with the family to ensure early identification and referral, provide valuable information for the evaluation, and advocate with the family for appropriate services. They are in a position to help families navigate the special education system for their child with a disability if they have the knowledge to do so. The LSU School of Medicine-New Orleans designates this educational activity for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
