Dr. Kratz received her B.A. from Western Maryland College in 1985 and her Ph.D. in Human Genetics from University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1989. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in biochemical genetics at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1991 and was assistant director of the Biochemical Diseases Detection Laboratory at Yale University from 1991 - 1993. In 1993, Dr. Kratz is certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics in Biochemical Genetics. She has been with the Kennedy Krieger Institute since 1993. Dr. Kratz is a member of the American Society of Human Genetics and the Society For Inherited Metabolic Disorders.
