Bio:
Phyllis Guinivan is a project manager for the Family Support and Healthcare Alliance Delaware (Family SHADE) and Emergency Preparedness for Individuals with Disabilities (EPID). Family SHADE connects families and professionals to resources for children and young adults with special healthcare needs. EPID focuses on providing training to families, caregivers and first responders on issues related to emergency preparedness for individuals with disabilities.
Before joining CDS, Phyllis served as council services manager for the National Association of Council on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), where she worked with the NACDD team to provide timely information and services to Councils on Developmental Disabilities throughout the United States and coordinated NACDD's annual national conferences. Phyllis earned her doctorate in anatomy from Penn State Hershey College of Medicine and a post doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Florida.
