Craig W. LeCroy, PhD serves as AZLEND faculty for Social Work. He is a Professor of Social Work at ASU and serves as Director of the School's Tucson Branch.  He also holds an appointment at the UA, Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences, Family Studies and Human Development Division.  He has been a visiting professor at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and the Zellerbach Visiting Professor at the University of California Berkeley.  Dr. LeCroy teaches classes on the foundations of social work practice, research methods for social work, and social work practice with children and adolescents.  He has over 25 years experience in the practice of social work.  He is a licensed clinical social worker.   Dr. LeCroy's primary areas of expertise are in children's mental health, group approaches to treatment, and child abuse prevention. He is the recipient of numerous grants including (as PI or Co-PI) interventions for risk reduction and avoidance in youth (NIH), evaluation of Healthy Families (a child abuse prevention program (Children's Bureau), and Youth Plus: Positive Socialization for Youth (CSAP).  Dr. LeCroy was also the PI on a National Institute of Mental Health Training grant for improving services for severely disturbed children and adolescents.  Dr. LeCroy is frequently a reviewer for the NIMH child interventions panel.  He has authored over 100 published articles and 10 published books.
