Dana Lattin is the Research Project Director at the University of Kansas Center on Developmental Disabilities and Beach Center on Disability. She directs the Transition Coalition (www.transitioncoalition.org) and the University of Kansas Transition to Postsecondary Education (KU TPE, www.tpe.ku.edu). The Transition Coalition provides online, face-to-face, and hybrid professional development, technical assistance, and resources for secondary transition stakeholders across the country as part of the National Technical Assistance Center on Transition (NTACT). For over 20 years Lattin has developed professional development through a variety of formats in order to enhance practice to improve outcomes for young adults with disabilities. KU TPE is an inclusive 2-year certificate college program for students with intellectual disability. Lattin provides overall program direction and day-to-day management, collaboration with KU units, instructor training, and program evaluation and sustainability. Ms. Lattin holds an M.S. Ed in Special Education with an emphasis on secondary transition from the University of Kansas and has co-authored articles, book chapters, web applications, and professional development interventions, and has presented at numerous national conferences on topics related to transition and professional development, as well as inclusive postsecondary education for people with intellectual disability.
