Nova McGiffert (she/her) is the Healthy Sexuality Project Coordinator under the Health Equity Team at the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University in Philadelphia. She creates affirming and inclusive programming on topics that include consent, sexual health, gender and sexuality, violence prevention, and safer sex practices. In addition, Nova disseminates resources and information on healthy sexuality for people with developmental disabilities, care teams, families, and providers across Pennsylvania, with an emphasis on building leadership and strengthening networks. Nova’s background in disability communities spans from providing direct care, supports coordination at Philadephia's Center for Independent Living, education, and advocacy. She is a queer Jewish cis woman living in Philadelphia for 15 years who loves coffee, connecting people, facilitating workshops, and her dog.
