Holly Oliver is an Advocacy and Community Liaison for the UCLA Tarjan Center. She graduated from The University of Arizona with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Art, Media, and Entertainment. She is passionate about advocacy after serving as an intern during college. She has been involved in several programs at the UCLA PEERS Clinic, including PEERS for Young Adults, PEERS Bully Proofing Boot Camp, and PEERS for Careers. She was recently selected to become an advisory committee member for SARTAC (Self Advocacy Resource and Technical Assistance Center). She regularly attends self-advocacy meetings, such as TASH, SABLAC, and The Arc. Holly is a host and interviewer for the Tarjan Center podcast “In Other Words.” In 2023, she presented as a discussant for the Tarjan Center’s first annual Forum on Developmental Disabilities. She is also a Tarjan LEND Leadership Academy Fellow. Holly serves on the Tarjan Advisory Committee, reviews content for the Tarjan Leadership Academy, and helps the Plain Language Committee by reviewing materials for clarity and accessibility. Holly has a genuine passion for helping others, supporting individuals with disabilities, promoting a positive representation of individuals with disabilities, and eliminating the use of wrongful stereotypes.
