Robert A. Jacobs is the Director of the UCEDD. He was reappointed by Governor Davis to the State council on Developmental Disabilities where he serves on the Executive Committee and is Chairperson of the Planning and Program Development Committee. He was recent Chair of a CDC grant review panel. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Chairperson, Board Development Committee, Western Law Center for Disability Rights. He continues as Chairperson, CCS and Disabilities Committee, American Academy of Pediatrics, Chapter II, and was formerly a Consultant to the Standards of Care Task Force, State of California, Victims of Crime Program. He has also previously served as Chairperson of the State Office of Disability Prevention's (ODP) Disability Prevention Advisory Committee (DPAC), and is a former Board Member of UCMG. He acted as a Coordinator of the pre-meeting Spina Bifida Symposium at the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) annual meetings in 1994, 1995, 1997, and 1999. He presented a talk on Academic General Pediatrics at the Annual Spring meeting of the Southwestern Pediatric Society, 2002.
