Partnership for People with Disabilities Core Grant: Supports the administrative and programmatic aspects of Virginia's university center for excellence in developmental disabilities education, service, and research. Funded by ADD. Role: Associate Director for Program Support (includes oversight of Community Services core function)
Person-Centered Planning Implementation: Becoming Person-Centered Organizations. A six state initiative with sub-awards to the National Association of Directors of Developmental Disability Services and Support Development Associates to increase the use of provide person-centered practices. Funded by CMS. Role: Co-PI
Rebalancing Initiative: Increasing Person-Centered Planning, Informed Choice, and Self Direction: Through a collaborative effort with Virginia's Office of Mental Retardation Services, the project work with local communities to provide resources to strengthen person-centered approaches and informed choice. Funded by CMS. Role: PI
Positive Behavioral Supports for People with Disabilities: Coordinates training, mentoring, and endorsement of positive behavioral support facilitators in Virginia and makes recommendations for processes that ensure qualified providers are available in Virginia. Funded by VDMHMRSAS and CNI/DRS. Role: PI
Center for Self-Advocacy Leadership: Three projects that promote the active involvement of self-advocates: Self Advocacy Mobilization (funding from VBPD); Youth Information, Training, and Resources (funding from ADD) and National Service Inclusion (funding from University of Massachusetts and AUCD). Infant and Toddler Connection of Richmond: Provides early intervention services and supports to infants and toddlers and their families in the City of Richmond. Funded by VDMHMRSAS. Role: Fiscal Agent Liaison
