Director, Iowa Program for Assistive Technology (IPAT), Center for Disabilities and Development, University of Iowa, City, IA (July 1997 to present)

Director Iowa COMPASS (Feb 2000 to 2010).
Coordinator of Awareness, Training and Community Projects Iowa Program for Assistive Technology (IPAT), Center for Disabilities and Development, University of Iowa, City, IA (Oct 1991 - July 1997).
Project Coordinator, Institute of Agricultural Medicine and Occupational Health, The University of Iowa (1987-1991). Designed and implemented a statewide network of farm occupational health and safety services through rural communities' hospitals (Iowa Agricultural Health and Safety Program). Designed and delivered a wide variety of lay and professional education programs.

Proposed, designed, and implemented a 3-year Centers for Disease Control (CDC) funded Pediatric Injury Prevention Grant. This community-based farm family injury prevention program is now available nationally and has been replicated in many states and communities (The Farm Family WalkAbout).

Assistant-in-Instruction, College of Nursing, The University of Iowa (January-May 1987).

CE Workshop Instructor, College of Nursing, The University of Iowa (1978-present). Presented at numerous Continuing Education (CE) workshops and conferences about assistive technology and agricultural health and safety issues. Designed and delivered eight all-day Nursing CE Programs for UI and other CEU providers:

Public Health Nurse II, Visiting Nursing Association of Johnson County, Iowa City, IA (1977-1987). Provided primary care for chronic and acutely ill patients, and health promotion cases. .

Staff Nurse, Surgery Out-Patient Clinic, The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA (1977). Provided primary care and patient education.

Workshop Coordinator, Institute of Agricultural Medicine and Occupational Health, The University of Iowa (1976-1977). Coordinated the development of a 3.5 day national training course for the investigators of The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Assisted with administration and presented at the five workshops.

Research Assistant I, College of Nursing, The University of Iowa (1976). Responsible for health screening, recording health history, data collection, and staff supervision of research project on the effects of exercise on Multiple Sclerosis.

Assistant-in-Instruction, College of Nursing, The University of Iowa (1974-1976).
Investigator, Institute of Agricultural Medicine and Occupational Health, The University of Iowa (1974). Investigated, analyzed, and documented accidents relating to burns, lawn mowers, toys, and farming for the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) with special emphasis on child-related accidents.
