For the past 15 years, ICI has been publishing the Service Provider Promising Practices series, which illustrates how community rehabilitation providers implement best practices and improve integrated employment outcomes.
The latest Promising Practice brief, Rise: A Data-Driven Approach to Hire and Retain Staff, demonstrates how a Minnesota-based nonprofit, Rise, implemented new hiring and retention practices to target potential employees in untapped applicant pools.
Authors Jennifer Bose, Alison White, Jean Winsor, and Esther Kamau explain how Rise used internal data to better identify promising job candidates and track employee activities to more effectively allocate pay raises. With the creation of employee metrics, Rise was able to define clear paths for professional development and promotions into higher-paying positions while rewarding good results.
