Overview of the Products Dataset

The Products Dataset captures information on various materials or deliverables produced and disseminated by Centers/Programs.

NIRS allows Centers/Programs to manage information on the products they develop and/or disseminate. 

Products may include:

  • Academic Course Development
  • Book
  • Book Chapter
  • Conference presentations and posters presented
  • Distance learning modules
  • Doctoral Dissertation or Master's Thesis
  • Electronic products
  • Newsletters
  • Pamphlets, Brochures, or Fact sheets
  • Peer-reviewed publications in scholarly journals Published/In Press
  • Peer-reviewed publications in scholarly journals submitted
  • Press communications
  • Reports and monographs
  • Web-based products

Product records are intended to capture information such as title, author, date of publication, indicating alternative formats, and ordering and cost information. The basic descriptive information provided when creating a new product record may be edited at any time. The Products dataset also captures product dissemination information.
