Appropriating Technologies: AT Act Implementation

Exploring ways to enhance the understanding of Assistive and Appropriate Technologies in our rapidly changing society. The AT Act (1998 and 2004 amendments seeks to improve the provision of assistive technology to individuals with disabilities. How to deliver these services and identify areas of unmet need is our focus. Technology, and therefore assistive technologies, have changed rapidly over the last 10 years. We need to ensure that innovative technologies are embraced but also people with disabilities participating in that process.
The site is a component of work performed by students enrolled in the UNR course CHS360. It seeks disseminate the ideas, approaches and actions undertaken by students as they formulate knowledge through change.
