Micro-location for Accessibility: iBeacon evolved

iBeacons, Micro-location, the "internet of everything" are some of the names used to describe the impact of connected objects. The ability to identify and locate objects down to 17cm is revolutionizing many aspects of commercial life. However, No use-case scenarios have been developed for how such technologies could be used to also ensure people with disabilities can fully participate in the technologies potential. This site explores these possibilities of a technology that is in the first stages of evolutionconnecting people with disabilities with the development of such services.
The site is a component of work performed by students enrolled in the UNR course CHS360. It seeks disseminate the ideas, approaches and actions undertaken by students as they formulate knowledge through change.
