Quality Supported Employment Services. We read, and probably espouse, the phrase all of the time. But do we really offer quality? How do we know? And does it really matter? We are busy, funds are limited, and waiting lists are long. If we get people integrated jobs at minimum wage, isnt that good enough sometimes? This session will discuss the key points of quality service, the principles that determine quality, and many ways these points can be encouraged amongst our staff and applied in our everyday work. If our field is to move forward, to have more people choose work, and to be able to negotiate with employers (who are interested in listening) then we need to truly practice quality service.
