Product Description:

Comprehensive, appropriate sexual health education is necessary to enhance their ability to achieve optimal sexual health and healthy relationships. Social workers play a pivotal role in the sexual health of youth with intellectual disabilities through advocacy, curriculum and policy development, and education. This paper offers a current review of the literature regarding the historical treatment, societal perceptions, sexual and reproductive health, and sexuality education for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
