Presentation to school staff (Assistants of Services) of Department of Education about key issues related with nutrition and students with DID. It includes the definition of nutrition, needs related to healthy meals, good health and the goals for our special population. The presentation also discuss key concepts about nutrition like weight, growth, health, energy and disease prevention. The role of nutrition and life expectations, daily nutrition requirements and its characteristics. The nutritionist professional role is essential for the well being and the goal is related to their preventive participation. This professional could part of the IEP teamwork to whom may referred students with DID and families for services and recommendations.
