Product Description:
The State of Vermont supported employment program has been selected as the Zero Project Innovative Policy 2017. The Zero Project is an international organization whose mission is working for a world with zero barriers. Worldwide, the Zero Project finds and shares models that improve the daily lives and legal rights of all persons with disabilities.
Vermont eliminated its institutions and sheltered workshops as it developed an inclusive model of employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a result, we've received a lot of attention, both positive and negative. This presentation will examine the history, philosophy, values, and policies that formed Vermont's supported employment program as well as goals for the future.
