Product Description:
This study is one of the first to examine the effectiveness of community-based health promotion programs to improve health and well-being of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This research study will help us learn how staff in community-based agencies (CBAs) can best teach adults aging with I/DD to be more physically active and eat healthier foods in their home and workplace. Agency staff will be trained to start a 12-week physical activity and health education program personalized to their clients’ needs. The major benefit of this study is that it will let people know how best to train staff to teach physical activity and health education for people with I/DD.
