Product Description:

This study is one of the first to examine the effectiveness of community-based health promotion programs to improve health and well-being of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This research study will help us learn how staff in community-based agencies (CBAs) can best teach adults aging with I/DD to be more physically active and eat healthier foods in their home and workplace. Agency staff will be trained to start a 12-week physical activity and health education program personalized to their clientsâ€™ needs. The major benefit of this study is that it will let people know how best to train staff to teach physical activity and health education for people with I/DD.
