Product Description:

Brief Course Description: This course introduces Medical students to developmental disabilities health and medical aspect of care including disparities, attitudes, ethics, professionalism and advocacy over the lifespan. Content highlights practice models of care such as interdisciplinary, patient and family centered practice as well as the multiple systems that impact the health and well-being of individuals living with developmental disabilities. This course includes lecture, active, and participatory teaching strategies.
