Relate to Me is an eight-week small group curriculum focused on relational and sexual health for young adults ages 18 and over. Topics include: Thoughts, Feelings, Behaviors (and how they are connected) Types of Relationships (e.g. family, friend, spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend/partner) Boundaries (What are boundaries? How do we set them?) Consent (What is consent? Why is it necessary?) Off-limits Behaviors (e.g. sexual harassment, emotional and physical abuse, stalking, sending nude photos, etc.) Looking for a Special Someone (Is a relationship right for me? Who might be right for me? gender identity and LGBTQIA; meeting new people, asking someone on a date) Dating In-person and Online (e.g. safety tips, successful online profiles) Intimacy and Sexuality (e.g. touching, masturbation, intercourse, sexually transmitted infections) Currently, the curriculum is geared toward young adults with mild or high-functioning autism; however a future iteration is expected that will contain language and content geared toward individuals with a wider range of reading/comprehension levels.
