Product Description:

This curriculum and video are designed for organizers and directors of volunteer community services and national service programs. Throughout history, people with cognitive disabilities have been excluded from many aspects of their communities. People with cognitive disabilities have been viewed only as recipients of services. Few have considered that these individuals have gifts to give to their communities and talents to share. People with cognitive disabilities desire and deserve opportunities to give back and to serve their communities. These material detail trainings available from IHDD/UCEDD for volunteer organizations that will help them understand how to help include people with cognitive disabilities in service and volunteering.
