Part of a six-part training series for youth workers and community coalitions dedicated to nurturing positive assets for all youth. Many communities are working together to build coalitions for youth development and asset building. Managing and organizing collaboration between community groups can be a difficult and daunting process. This training offers instruction in: understanding and valuing collaboration, dealing with turf conflicts, facilitating communication within coalitions, developing membership, setting goals, planning public relations, and evaluating functioning and progress. Armed with these skills, youth workers will have the tools they need for building and maintaining successful community groups.
