A Preliminary Examination of Prenatal and Perinatal Characteristics and Experiences of American Indian Women in the Plains

A cross-sectional survey was developed and implemented to gain a greater understanding of regional data in maternal and child health for AI women living in the Great Plains region. The survey was developed based off the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a first step to further understanding the pregnancy and birth experience of AI women in our region, as well as early infant health.
