Product Description:

LEND Trainees of the PR-UCEDD (Emmanuel Pena and Lailiz Ortiz) conducted a research about assessment of preparedness and response to emergencies or disasters in families with children with suspected or diagnosed DD after Hurricane Maria. The purpose of the study was to describe the family needs to response and face a new emergency. The sample of caregivers perceived themselves little prepared. Agencies and families need training to establish better planning and comprehensive emergency plans.
