Product Description:

We assessed differences in severe maternal morbidity (SMM) and other perinatal complications by presence and type of disability. Births to women with disabilities were nearly three times more likely to be complicated by SMM than births to women without disabilities. Women with disabilities were also more likely to experience other complications, including mental health disorders during the perinatal period.
