Product Description:

Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is an inherited blood disorder caused by a genetic variation in hemoglobin that primarily impacts African American and Latin X people. Children with SCD are at risk for developmental delays, lower academic achievement, lower quality of life, and mental illness. Adults face psychosocial outcomes including opiate dependence and unemployment.
