Sensory Integration: The eight senses (tactile, vestibular, proprioceptive, auditory, visual, taste, smell, and interoceptive) Sensory integration is the ability provided by the central nervous system (CNS) to interpret and organize the information captured by the sensory organs of the body. A sensory integration disorder exists when sensory signals are not organized into appropriate responses and activities of daily living are affected.
