Summit Highlights: Individuals with intellectual disabilities who have co-existing serious mental health and/or behavioral conditions of an intensity that requires specialized or intensive services and supports, tend to require a significantly greater investment of staff time, professional expertise and financial resources. A challenge that many Nebraskans face is how to design, develop and implement effective services and best practices to assist individuals to live, work and socialize in the community with other Nebraskans. This summit will feature sessions on family and consumer perspectives; a national overview of services offered in other states; a session on how the state of Ohio designed services; and a session on current services available in Nebraska.
