Parent perceptions of the P.J. v. State of Connecticut class action settlement agreement

This parent survey was conducted to assess parents? reactions to a settlement agreement which resulted from a class action lawsuit involving the inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities in their neighborhood schools (P.J., et. al v. State of Connecticut, Board of Education, et al). Surveys were distributed to 3,220 parents of children affected by the settlement agreement (families who had one or more children identified as having an intellectual disability). Completed surveys were returned by 679 parents. Chi-Square analysis was used to determine significant findings. The results of the survey are discussed and implications for future research are presented.
