A Portfolio: Observing and Recording
Product Description:
Observation is a planned, problem-solving approach to looking and seeing, but not participating. It is gathering information about a child?s strengths and weaknesses. Observations can be conducted anywhere the child spends time and provides information on the ?true picture? of the child?s performance.
An observation is not only to record what we see, but to interpret its meaning. A decision may be made to provide assistance, guidance, modify curriculum, communicate with the family, or refer following an observation.
