The curriculum is designed to introduce people working in the disabilites field to the field of domestic violence/sexual assault. The curriculum contains lesson objectives, scripted lessons and accompanying Power Point presentation, references, and test questions. Topics covered include Abuse of Women with Disabilities: Extent of the Problem, Definitions of Abuse, Legal Reporting Requirements, Domestic Abuse, Sexual Assault, Dynamics of Sexual Violence, Stalking, Elder/Vulnerable Adult Abuse, Referring Women for Services, Abuse Specific to Women with Disabilities, Barriers to Reporting Abuse, Recognizing Abuse, and Violence Prevention.
