This trainer's guide developed through the Welcome the Children project, was revised in 2006 from the original manual published in 2003. It provides step-by-step instructions for presenting a seven-hour session on cultural diversity targeted to English-speaking early childhood professionals and others who work with young Spanish-speaking children. The manual is intended to be used in conjunction with a train-the-trainer session, also provided through the Welcome the Children project. The manuals topics may also be broken out into shorter sessions. The training methods and materials used have been proven effective through an independent evaluation conducted by the University of Arkansas as Little Rock.
