The Hand in Hand Foundations Course for Early Childhood Educators is an 8-week course teaching a connection-based approach to understanding and responding to young children's emotions as well as five tools for the classroom that leverage listening, playfulness, and social support for educators to build a culture of connection in ECE. This mixed-methods pilot study of the Foundations Course investigated perceptions of the course, tools and feasibility of using the skills in the classroom.
