Product Description:

For its third year Alianzas acted as coordinator for the Bi-National Health Week in Missouri, which annually strives to increase public awareness, understanding, and knowledge of health services available at the local level for Hispanic/Latino immigrants. October events in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area attracted nearly 3,000 participants and over 40 healthcare professionals. This DVD introduces the Bi-National Health Week initiative and the 2006 program in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area. It recognizes the various events that occurred to address the healthcare needs of Hispanic/Latino immigrants and the organizations that serve them. Also, it explains how people/agencies may become involved in future Bi-National Health Week efforts.
