Product Description:

A handbook providing guidance to schools operating Community-Based Vocational Education (CBVE) programs and encouraging the adoption of CBVE programs by schools not presently using them. The first section details the events and actions leading to the development of CBVE and guidelines promoting this approach consistent with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Other sections present frequently asked questions by school personnel in carrying out CBVE programs consistent with the FLSA, and CBVE experiences of eight young persons with disabilities. This publication was jointly developed by The Study Group, North Carolina, and the National Transition Network.
