Product Description:
In October 2001, a 28-year-old woman, estimated to be 16 weeks into her second pregnancy, presented with nausea, vomiting, fever, chills, and laboratory findings of abnormal liver enzymes. Her first pregnancy, 2 years previous, was normal, and otherwise, she had been in good health. An ultrasound and computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen revealed multiple liver masses. Examination disclosed no peripheral adenopathy and a suggestion of possible bilateral breast masses. A CT-guided biopsy of the liver revealed Burkitt?s lymphoma.
