Infant Looking Times and Developing Sitting Postural Control

Center:
Fiscal Year:
2010
Contact Information:
Product Description:
Look duration in infants is known to decrease from approximately 4 months of age to 9 months of age. The assumption about this decrease is that infants gradually require less time to process information about an object as they mature. However, studies examining look duration have all provided postural support to the infants. The purpose of this study was to examine looking time as infants were acting on their own to control their body.
