For students with intellectual or developmental disabilities, many things must be in place to ensure that postsecondary educational opportunities are maximized. Until recently, college was rarely considered an option for many but, in fact, there are more options and opportunities than ever. This brief details some of the essential activities that students and their families should undertake as transition planning occurs. It also provides numerous resources and links to additional information.
