Product Description:
Children learn by actively participating. What seems like play is a child's way of internalizing a lesson or skill. Children should be encouraged to participate in activities that allow them to use large and small muscles along with their senses to make discoveries about how to put things together. As they make different things, they discover how those things work, move, taste, and feel. Make and take activities encourage the kind of creative play that stretches a child's imagination. The process of making different items stimulates children to ask questions and offers opportunities for teachers and parents to ask the children questions about what they are doing and how things work. The process also presents many wonderful opportunities to tell children what a good job they are doing, how creative they are, and how smart they are.
