Product Description:

This packetet was designed to help a community take the first steps toward positive change by providing practical information on how to identify participants, organize community resources and plan initial meetings of concerned community members. While there is no "one right way" to initiate a local planning council, this document will attempt to synthesize meaningful information from a variety of resources, planning councils and interagency models nationwide. The challenge is to develop your own process of working together that is flexible enough for your local needs and interests, yet focused enough to assure growth.
