Product Description:

Nevada Transition Services Scholars Program (NV-TSSP) will prepare 125 scholars over five years across Nevada in secondary transition services for students with disabilities. Licensed teachers will have the opportunity to earn 10 credits from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), College of Education, resulting in a Certificate in Secondary Transition Services. The hybrid, three-course sequence and one-unit practicum will provide teachers a comprehensive review of evidence-based research, student-centered practices and practical experience in a community-based agency or program for transition-age students. A broad list of agencies across Nevada have expressed interest in participating in the NV-TSSP, including Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), Developmental Services, Disability Resource Centers, Center for Independent Living, and several others. The proposal was for $852,615.
